Day 3 (Tuesday, May 23, 2006)
8:00 AM: It's overcast and drizzly--what a surprise for Seattle! Not anxious to repeat yesterday's caloric orgy, we found a nice little coffee shop with big comfortable chairs and had pastry and coffee. On the way, we walked past the original Starbuck's. Interesting fact: This is the only shop in the chain which uses the original Starbuck's logo--the girl's flowing hair does not cover her breasts, and she has nipples! (Sorry, Libby.)
9 AM: Walk down to the waterfront, but it's still rainy, so we go to the ferry terminal and ask which ferry trip takes the longest. A few minutes later, we're on a rount-trip to Bremerton (1 hour each way). Ferry is big enough for trucks, busses, etc. Seats very confortable. Enjoyable trip, and the weather begins to clear so we can see the scenery.
Noon: Lunch at Elliott's Oyster House. Barb had fried oysters, Dick repeated the Alaskan halibut fish & chips.
Afternoon: Re-visit Pike's Place Market then back to hotel. Barb swam, Dick napped.
6 PM: Dinner at P.F. Chang's.
Evening: Re-pack, cause tomorrow we head to Vancouver to board the ship.
