I specialize in the unique handcrafting of Swedish Horseshoe Nails. I am a self-taught artisan, showing and selling my work at numerous Art Festivals for the last 30 years. Most notably I have exhibited in New York, Pennsylvania, D.C. and Arizona, including the Chautauqua Craft Alliance shows at the Chautauqua Institution in New York, the Three Rivers Art Show in Pittsburgh, Fountain Hills, AZ , the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, and The Mill Avenue Show in Tempe, AZ. My work has been wholesaled in various galleries throughout the country including the Milwaukee Art Museum.
To design and create my jewelry, I bend and solder the nails into aesthetically pleasing styles, many of which are one of a kind. I create pendants, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. These are very well received by the buying public because of their individuality and conversational nature.
I also design jewelry pieces which are hand wired and fabricated in sterling silver with semi-precious stones. I like to incorporate a touch of whimsy into my pieces, allowing the wearer to enjoy the fun and conversational nature they portray.
I am currently living and working in both Mayville, New York and Scottsdale, Arizona along with my husband Warren. Warren has been a devoted champion of my work from day one and his help and encouragement over the years has been of great value. We have just opened a wonderful gallery called The Art Loft, representing works by over 100 artists, consisting of jewelry, sculpture, paintings, fine art, clothing and more. The Art Loft, just a stone’s throw from Chautauqua Institution, is located at 4994 West Lake Road Mayville, NY 14757. 716-753-LOFT.
