We feel officially retired now as I no longer am involved with county politics and we spend Thanksgiving through March in South Carolina with the kids. In 2006 BJ (confirmed bachelor) built a home with a finished suite upstairs for us. This was a wonderful surprise!. He lives in Rock Hill and has been a math professor at Winthrop University for 12 years. Jennifer is in Mt. Pleasant, suburb of Charleston, where she is in private practice as a family doctor. Only 3 hours apart, we can see alot of both of them each winter.
However, Fredonia is the place to be the rest of the year, but Frank has had enought of home ownership. Want to buy a house? Great place for retirees (big, lots of room for treasures, small lot) or a family with kids (4 bedrooms, 4 baths, big kitchen, fireplace, etc.) We're at 2 University Park, very nice neighborhood. We've been here 10 years and enjoyed our stay.
Hard to believe that, as of September, 2010, the halls of Wheelock School will no longer ring with the sounds of Fredonia's little ones. Oh well, times, they are
a-changin'.
