Margo and I moved to Florida in September 2007. We are living in what is called an “Active Adult Retirement Community.” As many of you know I have never been “active,” but thought this would keep us going for many more years!
Here we are in front of our new home two days after we moved in.

Here is another picture of our new home.

We are REALLY enjoying ourselves here. We have many clubs and organizations to be a part of and several pools to use. We have two HUGE fitness centers as well. We have met some new friends and….. WE HAD THE BEST WINTER OF OUR LIVES!!!! Well at least the warmest! We do miss our friends and family back in western New York, but enjoy our new home!
Speaking of homes, we know of a nice two family home in Fredonia that is still for sale…..

I am now an adjunct at Strayer University teaching a math course or two. The average age of their students is 34 so I am working with adults who have decided to go back to school.
Margo is in the process of working at a local preschool a couple mornings each week and again work with four year olds.
Our sons, Lee and Lane, are doing fine. Lee is living in Fredonia and Lane lives in Roswell, Georgia. Neither are married and have no children. Here is a recent picture of all of us last December at the Kennedy Space Center. Like our pink name tags?

We would love to hear from “old” (oops…veteran) colleagues. Here is our contact information:

January 2011 Update
Margo and I still LOVE Florida!!! This so called “Active Adult Retirement Community” is keeping us very busy. All the activities and new friends we have met have made the transition much easier. We cannot believe we have lived here in Florida for almost 3 _ years already. No matter how cold it gets down here (a couple nights were lows in the 20s this winter), we don’t have that white stuff to shovel! (I do remember having to shovel some “yellow” snow a few times though in Fredonia!)
I retired again (for the third time). I no longer am teaching at Strayer University. It was getting in the way of my fun time! Although I truly liked it, I felt it was time to be REALLY retired!
On November 1 I had my left knee replaced and I am finally starting to feel pretty good. Sometimes it even feels like it belongs to me. 2012 will bring the replacement of the right knee. Between the cataracts and knees I’m going to be bionic!
Lee still lives in Fredonia. Lane still lives in Atlanta. Thank God they still have jobs!
We’d love to hear from any of you especially if you will be coming down to Central Florida. We are about 40 minutes from Disney and 45 minutes from the Orlando airport.
Sorry to all you Western New Yorkers who are dealing with that white stuff. In about 5 months you will see sun again!
Take care!
